Homo sapiens first reportedly appeared on earth 200,000 years ago. Considering a global average human lifespan of 73.4 years (WHO, 2019), that was a stunning 2,755 life times ago! All through the ages and in every great civilization, our ancestors – thinkers, philosophers, sages – took pains to capture their learnings in scriptures and texts for the benefit those who were to follow. Much of their teachings were about living a positive, healthy life in harmony with our fellow beings. Even today, there are inspiring examples of people living lives in resonance with such principles.
